DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
bbiinn//wweeddggeedd is the command script invoked by the facsimile
server when a modem is deemed to be in an irreparable
state and requires operator intervention. This decision
is based on the setting of the MMaaxxSSeettuuppAAtttteemmppttss configura
tion parameter described in _h_y_l_a_f_a_x_-_c_o_n_f_i_g(${MANNUM4_5}).
The default _w_e_d_g_e_d script sends electronic mail to the
FaxMaster alias and attempts to disable any getty pro
cesses spawned by the _i_n_i_t(${MANNUM1_8}) process. In
addition the _f_a_x_q(${MANNUM1_8}) process automatically dis
ables use of the modem for servicing outbound jobs.
The _d_e_v_i_d argument is the identifier derived from the name
of the modem's device file by substituting ``_'' charac
ters for ``/'' characters; e.g. _t_e_r_m___1_0 for _/_d_e_v_/_t_e_r_m_/_1_0.
The _d_e_v_i_c_e argument is the name of the character special
device associated with the modem.
